Homeland II

Pressed flower petals, tengucho paper, thread

Homeland II is an ongoing series of quilts made from pressed flower petals exploring the relationship between women, making, and the natural world.

Quilting — a traditional women's craft — carries a lineage built on slowness, community, quiet rebellion and care passed through generations. By weaving real petals into this familiar form, these quilt pieces explore a feminine relationship with nature — one rooted in nurturance, interconnectedness, patience, and healing. The piece becomes a meditation on home — suggesting that our truest sanctuary isn't something we build, but something we return to within ourselves and with our relationship with the living world.
