Peppergrass

Dried Peppergrass, pins

This installation transforms the humble peppergrass into a three-dimensional drawing that exists in the liminal space between sculpture and mark-making. The work explores how the most overlooked elements of our landscape — the weeds that push through sidewalk cracks, the volunteers that appear uninvited in gardens — carry their own quiet magnificence. By elevating peppergrass from ground level to eye level, the installation invites intimate observation of forms typically dismissed or destroyed. The interplay of light and shadow becomes as essential as the botanical material itself, creating an ephemeral drawing that shifts throughout the day.
