Migration is My Home
Bougainvillea petals, monofilament
This installation honors the wild feminine — untamed, intuitive, and deeply rooted in earth's wisdom. Like the feminine spirit that flows between worlds, the tributary form the petals make channels the internal rivers of knowing that guide us home to ourselves. Bougainvillea, thriving in diverse climates, becomes a metaphor for the adaptability and resilience deeply rooted in women's relationship with displacement and earth's cycles. As viewers move around the suspended garden, they become part of the migration themselves, their presence activating the gentle sway of petals. Migration is my Home invites contemplation of what it means to carry home within ourselves — to trust in the ancient feminine knowledge that teaches us to bloom wherever we are planted.
